This week we are highlighting Churro as our APS Pet of the Week!
Churro was such a cuddle bug when he accompanied one of our amazing volunteers at their home this weekend. Super smart and knows sit, down, and paw really well! Also loves getting his fur brushed – he will start dozing off during brushing, which is adorable to watch. He can be a little jumpy but was not at all mouthy during his weekend outing. He is very active and appreciates a good bit of exercise – perhaps he can be your workout partner! But he does also love to cuddle up and show you affection, too. According to his weekend foster, “I love him so much. He just wants someone to cuddle up next to. He definitely appreciated a rainy weekend in with lots of pampering.” If you are at all interested in meeting Churro, please come in for a visit. He has been with us at the shelter since mid-February and really looking for a home where he can truly relax with a family of his own.
Churro is a young, adult male dog with a good amount of wonderful energy that has been with us at the shelter up for adoption since February 15th. Though he’s had some really fun adventures out of the shelter with some of our amazing volunteers, he is super ready to find his new family and make their home his own. He’ll be a wonderful companion to an active lifestyle but really will prefer to be the one and only animal love of your life.

Churro is one of the dogs included in our “Pick Your Price” promotion that we have going on the entire month of July! “Pick Your Price” month means that you determine the value of the deal you get when deciding what you’d like to pay as your adoption fee for your new pet. Every adopted animal is spayed/neutered, has a microchip, is fully vaccinated, tested for parasites, and receives a complete medical exam and a behavior evaluation – a minimum value of $600 at a local veterinary clinic. Plus, they’re given lots and lots of love and socialization from our staff and volunteers. Normally our dogs range from $125 – $175 and cats and kittens are $95.
