We are so excited to feature ANDRE, our super curious, active young fella waiting for his next wonderful home. Andre has been with us at the shelter since April 21st. We think he is so super awesome, would make a fun hiking and adventure pal. He’s an energetic guy, slightly excitable & selective around other dogs and needs a slow introduction to a dog that has polite, gentle manners. He is very ready to find his new home.

“I’ve been told that I’m a very sweet 49-pound, two-year-old boy. While I agree with that, I can on occasion be a bit particular about some other canines I meet. That might be why I’ve been living at APS since April 21st. I really do get along with many dogs, but most appreciate those that are gentle and have polite manners, with a slow and careful introduction. Like many people, I don’t appreciate being jumped on! If you have another dog at home, let’s arrange a gentle meet and greet to see how we hit it off. I like to think that I’m a polite guy. However, I’m not keen on living with a cat – sorry. Being so active and having a love for adventure makes staying at APS this long a bit tough for me. If you’re slightly inclined to meet me, please come on over and let’s get acquainted. I’m hoping you’ll fall in love with my brilliant young dog energy & curiosity. If you want to go on a great adventure, then I’m your guy! Let’s go hiking and hang out on the Eno, splash around in the water and search for bugs to pounce on – so fun! I’m super playful, curious and a good walker. Even though I get some really good walks while at the shelter and fun time in the play yard, I really want and need more. Let’s see what kind of fun we can have together. I’m ready! Are you?”
