Friday, January 26th
- Astronomy Days – At The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. Kicking off with a special screening of Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan and going through the weekend. Admission is free.
- Chili Dinner to Stop Hunger – At Kirk of Kildaire Presbyterian Church today from noon to 2 p.m. and again from 5 to 7 p.m. Tickets are $8.
- Dr. Bacon – At the Bullpen. Asheville’s most rocking party-funk band.
Saturday, January 27th
- LEGOPalooza – All weekend at Morehead Planetarium and Science Center. Enjoy LEGO exhibits and more!
- 17th Annual African American Cultural Celebration – Join the statewide kickoff to Black History Month at the North Carolina Museum of History.
- Chinese New Year Festival – Celebrate the Chinese New Year at Dorton Arena. Enjoy main stage performances, tables of authentic Asian foods, art and craft vendors and more! $8 for adults, children 6 and under are free
- The Get Down at The Haymaker – When Disco, Funk and Hip Hop all met. DJ Deluxe will be combining soulful melodies with funky beats at the Haymaker in downtown Raleigh.
- Prance: A Prince Dance Party – At Pinhook in Durham
- Joe Rogan – a stand-up comedian for more than 20 years, don’t miss Joe Rogan’s inquisitive and intense comedic style. Two shows at DPAC.
Sunday, January 28th
