Here’s a list of fun things to do around town this weekend! Stay cool and have fun!

Friday (6/29)

  • Lynyrd Skynyrd – along with 38 Special and Cheap Trick at Coastal Credit Union Music Park.
  • Paddington 2 – Enjoy the screening of “Paddington 2” at Booth Amphitheatre in Cary on Friday night. Tickets are $5. Children 12 years and younger free.
  • Movies by Moonlight Free Screening of “The Greatest Showman” on Friday night and “Isle of the Dog” on Saturday night at Southern Village in Chapel Hill

Saturday (6/30)

  • Independence Day Weekend Celebration at Kerr Lake with Fireworks over the water and entertainment presented by Frankie Faucet and “The Drips,”.
  • A Taste of Greece – at St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church in Durham.
  • City of Fayetteville Independence Day Celebration (Festival Park, Rowan Street and Ray Avenue in Fayetteville) – The Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra will perform Saturday in Festival Park with fireworks at the end.
  • Lea Michele and Darren Criss – The former “Glee” stars are teaming up Saturday night at DPAC.

Sunday (7/1)

  • Independence Day Block Party (Neuse River Brewing, 518 Pershing Road, Raleigh) – at Neuse River Brewing Company and Nickelpoint Brewing Co. Sunday starting at noon. There will be live music, food trucks and more fun. This year the event benefits Cause for Paws.
