Triangle Town Center to Host Urban Ministries of Wake County’s Turkey Drive

Triangle Town Center to Host Urban Ministries of Wake County’s Turkey Drive

If you are looking to help your neighbors in need this holiday season, consider donating to Urban Ministries of Wake County’s Turkey Drive, hosted by Triangle Town Center! Every contribution will greatly impact a local family in need, especially this year when so many are impacted by COVID-19. This year, your donation can complete a Thanksgiving meal this year.

“The event will be held on Tuesday, November 17th, from 11 am – 2 pm at Triangle Town Center. Turkeys can be dropped off with volunteers at the trucks located near the Creekside Commons Entrance of the mall. When the drive is over, volunteers will take the birds back to our pantry located at 1390 Capital Boulevard. The turkeys will be given to our neighbors in need at our pantry during the week leading up to Thanksgiving.

The pantry switched from client-choice to curbside service in March, when we began seeing a 150% increase in the number of people coming to us for food assistance. Urban Ministries of Wake County provides essential services to more than 32,000 people a year and we are anticipating a busier holiday season than ever before. We serve our community by providing nutritious groceries to families in need, sheltering, and counseling women experiencing homelessness and providing healthcare and prescriptions to uninsured adults.”
