Friday, January 12th

  • Inspiring Beauty: 50 Years of Ebony Fashion Fair – At North Carolina Museum of Art. See it through Jan. 21.
  • Life-Size Coloring Experience – At Carrack Modern Art in Durham every Friday night with a DJ, Food, and Unlimited Drinks.
  • Charity Scrabble Tournament – At Duke University’s North Pavilion Tonight through Sunday. All proceeds from this tournament go to support the Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplantation Program at the Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center. There are divisions for all levels of players. Winners will receive trophies and prizes.
  • Back 2 School Crawl – Kicks off at The Grille at Four Corners in Chapel Hill at 7:30 p.m.
  • Love Letters – Presented by Raleigh Theatre. See it through Jan. 21 at Fletcher Opera Theatre in Raleigh.

Saturday, January 13th

  • Durham Mardi Gras Kickoff Fundraiser – at The Blue Note Grill on Saturday night.
  • Boozin’ in your Onesie – In downtown Raleigh Saturday. Don’t forget to wear your onesie.

Sunday, January 14th

  • Winter Food Truck Rodeo – First of the Year … at Durham Central Park starting at noon.
  • Pints and Poses Yoga – At Raleigh Brewing every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. The class is $10. Bring your own mat. Dogs are welcome. The beer starts flowing at noon.
  • Sausagefest – Durham’s first Sausagefest at The Rickhouse. Tickets are still available.
  • Paint and Punchlines – Paint along with an expert at Goodnights on Sunday. A hand-picked comedian will paint alongside the instructor on-stage while providing a humorous play-by-play. Cocktails and dinner will be provided in advance as part of the event.
