How to work from home with Covid-19

How to work from home with Covid-19

Although working from home can be tasking and distracting, here are a few ways of how you can stay efficientIt’s no surprise that Coronavirus has taken over the world, and as of recently has led to many companies and businesses deciding that their employees will need to work remotely from home. Although working from home can be tasking and distracting, here are a few ways of how you can stay efficient during your day:

  • Communicate: Whether it is because of a pandemic or not, communicating clearly with your boss and your time while working remotely is key to successfully finishing your work load. Don’t be afraid to call your boss and speak at the beginning of the day, or at the end of the day to sum everything that has been done.
  • Create an open space: When we imagine working from home, we often think of laying in bed in our pajama’s all day with a laptop to do our work. Studies have shown that working this way decreases productivity, and that if you are working from home you should set aside a table in your home in a corner or isolated room where you can sit in a chair and focus on the work.
  • Take breaks: Staring at the computer screen for hours on end isn’t healthy for workers, so making sure that you take a relative amount of breaks to stand up and stretch throughout the day is key. Doing this will not only give your mind a break, but also shows positive health benefits as well!
