Wet Nose Wednesday: Lady Shortcake

Wet Nose Wednesday: Lady Shortcake

We are so excited to feature LADY SHORTCAKE, our awesome, amazing lady waiting for her next wonderful home. Lady Shortcake is a young, adult female dog with a good amount of wonderful energy that has been with us at the shelter up for adoption since May 9th. She’s an energetic gal, slightly excitable around other dogs but very friendly, responds well to treat-training and eager to learn better manners. She is very ready to find her new home.

Visit Lady Shortcake’s Adoption Profile Here!

“Just like Eliza Doolittle, I’m working hard on becoming a proper lady. For now at least, I would prefer to be your one-and-only canine companion. I get a bit excitable around other dogs, but hey – I’m working on it. If that sounds like something you can commit to, let’s talk. I’m still young, a bit over one year old and a muscular 55 pounds.  I’m super friendly and really motivated to learn.  I just need a good teacher. As the Lady Doolittle put it many years ago, “I don’t want no gold or no diamonds! I’m a good girl, I am!” I’m just looking for a home where I can be me.”

“Hello! Did you know that I’m so special I’m pet of the week? Do you by any chance have a ball for me? I’m a sweet, sensitive girl who loves to carry a ball around. I’m a bit shy at first, but then I warm up to new friends. I like treats and gentle affection once I get to know you. Mostly I’m looking for a person with lots of gentle love to give, who can go slow with me, and who has a ball. Is it you?”

Remember because of our Pick Your Price promotion, her adopters can choose what they want to pay. It’s a win win!

Learn More about Cinnabon:

We swear she actually smells like a Cinnamon bun! She is social but more than anything she likes to just sit around and be very Zen. Her former foster parents call her Buddha Kitty because she is so Zen and therapeutic. She enjoys window watching and waits to be petted.  She gets most active right before dinner time and plays the most then.  She is a very hearty cat built for cuddling. She likes to be petted, brushed, held and kissed and she gives kisses back too. She loves to purr and play, and if you call “Here kitty kitty” she slowly comes to you, especially if she sees a hand offering a pet. She likes to make biscuits with her paws and sit with her humans. Overall, a lovely, sweet cat!
