‘Old MacDonald’ Gets a Makeover for Women’s Equality Day

‘Old MacDonald’ Gets a Makeover for Women’s Equality Day

‘Old MacDonald’ is getting a makeover!

Land O’Lakes revealed its new initiative, All Together Better, celebrating inclusivity among the 1,791 farmers that make up the brand’s farmer-owned cooperative. Because women comprise approximately one-third of U.S. farmers, Land O’Lakes is debuting the campaign in time for Women’s Equality Day, this Sunday, August 26th, in an effort to tell the untold stories of the women who work hard to feed this nation.

To help raise awareness, the brand partnered with vocal powerhouse Maggie Rose and Grammy Award-winning songwriter Liz Rose to reimagine the classic song “Old MacDonald Had a Farm,” and unveil “She-I-O,” a rousing anthem for a new generation that champions women.

Because food insecurity disproportionately affects women, the brand is also partnering with Feeding America, and will donate $1 for every share, tag or comment on any of the SHE-I-O music video content on Land O’Lakes social channels, as well as the SHE-I-O music track, available on SoundCloud and iTunes, up to $100,000 to help combat the issue.
