Phoebe Lawless is the owner of Durham’s Scratch Bakery and the new full service restaurant and bar, The Lakewood.

Lawless is one of NC’s most talented, award winning pastry chefs (and one of the top pastry chefs in the country, nominated for a James Beard award) yet she considers herself more of a “baker”. Either way, Kitty believes she was innately born to make pies (though her cakes, flatbreads, crumpets, etc. are also fits of phenomenons).
