Spicy Salsa

Homemade Spicy Salsa Recipe

Homemade salsa paired with tortilla chips.

Cooking time: 15 minutes

Serving size: 15 servings

Ingredients

  • 5 large tomatoes
  • 2 jalapeno peppers
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1/3 cup cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 lime, juiced
  • 1 bag tortilla chips for dipping (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Place tomatoes, garlic, and jalapeños on a lined baking sheet. Roast for 15 minutes.
  3. Remove from the oven. Cut the tops off the jalapeños.
  4. Blend the roasted tomatoes, garlic, and jalapeños until smooth.
  5. Add chopped cilantro, lime juice, and salt to the blended mixture. Mix well and let cool.
  6. Serve this homemade spicy salsa with tortilla chips or an alternative and enjoy!
