Peppermint Hot Chocolate

Peppermint Hot Chocolate Recipe

Serving size: 10 servings

Ingredients

  • ¾  cup white sugar
  • 5 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 cups dark or milk chocolate, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • Optional: whipped topping

Directions

  1. In a saucepan, combine sugar and chopped chocolate over low heat.
  2. Gradually add the milk, stirring slowly until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
  3. Stir in vanilla extract, peppermint extract, and heavy cream.
  4. Cook the hot chocolate mixture on low heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Serve the peppermint hot chocolate with whipped topping (optional) and enjoy!
