Ingredients
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained & rinsed
- ½ cup breadcrumbs (or oats for gluten-free)
- ¼ cup finely chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 egg (or flax egg for vegan: 1 tbsp flax + 2.5 tbsp water)
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp smoked paprika (optional but great flavor)
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 1–2 tbsp ketchup or BBQ sauce (for moisture & flavor)
- 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)

3. Form patties
