Ingredients
- 6 ears fresh corn, husks and silk removed
- Water, for boiling
- 6 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Optional Toppings
- Garlic butter
- Grated Parmesan cheese
- Chili powder or smoked paprika
- Cajun seasoning
- Lime wedges
- Crumbled cotija cheese
Instructions
1. Prepare the Corn
Remove the husks and silk from each ear of corn, then rinse well under cool water to remove any remaining strands.
2. Bring the Water to a Boil
Fill a large pot with enough water to completely cover the corn and bring it to a rolling boil over high heat.
3. Cook the Corn
Carefully add the corn to the boiling water, return the water to a gentle boil, and cook for 5–7 minutes, or until the kernels are bright yellow and tender but still slightly crisp.
4. Drain and Butter
Remove the corn with tongs, let any excess water drain away, then brush each ear generously with melted butter.
5. Season and Serve
Sprinkle with salt, black pepper, and parsley if desired, or finish with your favorite toppings for extra flavor. Serve immediately while hot.
