RALEIGH, N.C. (WPTF) –A Raleigh man is facing a murder charge after a fatal stabbing Friday night (July 31).

According to the Raleigh Police Department, officers responded at approximately 9:11 p.m. on July 31 to the 1100 block of Crab Orchard Drive following a report of a stabbing.
Investigators say two men were involved in an altercation when one of them allegedly stabbed the other.
The victim, identified as 36-year-old Matthew Bulloch, was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Despite lifesaving efforts, he later died from his injuries.
Police arrested 33-year-old David Hoyle and charged him with murder in connection with the incident.
Authorities said the relationship between the two men is currently unknown.
