Ingredients
- 6 medium apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Crumble Topping
- 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
1. Prepare the Apples Preheat the oven to 375°F. Add the sliced apples to a large bowl and toss with sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and vanilla.
2. Fill the Baking Dish Spread the seasoned apples evenly into a greased 9-inch baking dish.
3. Make the Crumble In a separate bowl, combine the oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Pour in the melted butter and stir until the mixture forms crumbly, moist pieces.
4. Add the Topping Sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly over the apples, making sure the entire surface is covered.
5. Bake Until Golden Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown and crisp.
6. Cool and Serve
