Michael Jordan Donates $2 Million for Florence Relief

Michael Jordan is supporting his home state – big time!

Jordan is donating $1 million dollars to the American Red Cross and the Foundation For The Carolina’s Hurricane Florence Response Fund.

Jordan, who grew up in Wilmington, told the Associated Press, “I know all of those places: Wilmington, Fayetteville, Myrtle Beach, New Bern, and Wallace, which is where my father is from. So quite naturally it hits home, and I felt like I had to act in a sense that this is my home.”

In addition to Jordan’s donation, the Charlotte Hornets are contributing to relief efforts.Their merchandising partner, Fanatics, has designed a Carolina Strong T-Shirt. All net proceeds will be donated to the Foundation For The Carolinas’ Hurricane Florence Response Fund.

When you purchase this #CarolinaStrong T-shirt, 100% of the net proceeds will go to the Foundation For The Carolinas' Hurricane Florence Response Fund.
